Testing user notification
I have added a new mod, "User's choice" (it's actually an extension to an existing mod, prime_notify) that should notify a user every time a new message is posted. Here we shall test it out.

Note that the automated installation procedure failed. The most impotrant change needed was to change the data type of a new field added to the database from tinyint(1), which is not supported by postgresql, to smallint.

That's interesting, but you may have received it because you were a Moderator in that group. I have removed your Moderator privileges (but you should still be a normal user). Try again!

So: now I see that the "user's choice" mod just adds the text of the post to the standard notification - it doesn't increase the number of notifications. There is another mod that claims to do that: "boardwatch". So I'll give that one a go next...

"Boardwatch" now installed - I think. It's a scary process since the "autoinstall" procedure failed, and the forum was completely broken until I discovered what needed to be done that "autoinstall" had failed to achieve...

OK, we're getting there. I've fixed the system, set default boardwatch values to 'no' everywhere; and now I'm testing my own username ability to receive notifications...
