Biological Macromolecules
The Commission on Biological Macromolecules exists to advise the IUCr in organizing or sponsoring sessions on macromolecular crystallography at Congresses and conferences; to promote and coordinate scientific exchange between countries in the field of macromolecular crystallography; to cooperate with other Commissions of the Union on matters dealing with macromolecular crystallography; and to cooperate with other international bodies interested in macromolecular crystallography and allied subjects. -

NeXus HDF5 CIF convergence
The NeXus, HDF5 and CIF scientific data formats overlap in some areas (e.g. in the capture and management of X-ray diffraction images), and there is considerable benefit to be gained by harmonising their content and working towards maximum interoperability.
