Version 0.4.2 of the CIF API has now been released. It is available at the GitHub site, as usual, or a full distribution can be obtained directly from me.
Changes from versions 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 are mostly bug fixes, but experimental program cif_linguist received a major improvement to its whitespace handling, so that it now does quite a good job of transferring whitespace from its input to its output.
Since version 0.4.0 was not previously announced here, however, it would be appropriate to observe that cif_linguist itself was new in version 0.4.0, and that that version also introduced changes in how numeric values were handled by the parser, and more generally in how quoted data values are handled and tracked.
More details are provided in the release notes accompanying the distribution.
